Sharvonne Sisco

Master’s Student

Sharvonne Sisco is a graduate student in the Human-Computer Interaction Masters Program at the University of Maryland Information School (iSchool) passionate about accessibility, equity, and storytelling from an intersectional and interdisciplinary approach. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Crafting simple and effective solutions for people utilizing her background in psychology to create seamless, empathetic impact driven by data.

Currently, Sharvonne works as a Graduate Research Assistant in the CReED Lab working on a project examining the relationship between AI tools and their impact on Black women in tech. She has research interests in black feminism in computing and community-centered design.

Sharvonne is a first-generation college student and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. When not creating user-centered solutions, she also loves volunteering, cooking, and binge-watching films and TV shows.
