Micah Morgan is a 1st year Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland’s Info School (formerly iSchool) working in the area of Human-Computer Interaction. She has a BS in English from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and an MFA from California College of the Arts. Prior to UMD, Micah was the Head of Public Affairs at SeedAI where she worked alongside the Congressional AI Caucus. She also participated in the State Department’s Boldline Accelerator where her AI-driven media software advanced to the State Department Testbed. Her current graduate research examines the impact that using AI tools has on Black women working in the tech industry.
